Nokia Lumia 900 receives software update


The has received yet another software update which offers several performance enhancements and bug fixes. The Lumia 900 features a 4.3 inch ClearBlack display, 16GB of internal storage, an 8 megapixel camera which is capable of 720p HD video recording, a secondary camera for video calls, 4G LTE connectivity and it is powered by a 1.4 GHz processor with 512MB of RAM.

You can download and install the update by connecting your Lumia 900 to the Zune software on your computer. Nokia has even provided the following instructional video for users who want to know how to install the Nokia Lumia 900 software update.

Windows Phone 8 will run on Nokia Lumia 900 claims Nokia Care

The ongoing debate continues on whether the current generation Windows Phones will receive the next generation of Windows Phone OS – Windows Phone 8. We have had reports confirming that Windows Phone 8 will not reach current generation handsets while other reports state that we won't see the the update on current handsets.

With Nokia’s hard push on marketing their Lumia 900 handset many potential customers are wondering if these brand new handsets will see the Apollo update or if they will be shelved in mere months in favor of newer hardware.

Nokia Care seems to have answered the question, when a concerned customer asked if the will be updated to Windows Phone 8.

Software update now available for the Nokia Lumia 900, brings internet tethering

The is now receiving the Internet Sharing feature which was promised as part of the Windows Phone Tango software update making it the first in the Lumia series to experience tethering.

Tethering allows your mobile device to act as a wireless hotspot for your other devices such as your laptop, tablet or other similar device.

Nokia Lumia 900 - data connectivity fix now available

Some unfortunately were faced with data connectivity issues on their brand new Windows Phones. Nokia almost immediately responded to the issue saying that a fix was in the works.

Now the company has announced that the fix is available three days earlier than it was expected.

The for AT&T seams to be doing quite well in the U.S., leaving users looking for the Cyan version having to settle for the Black variant due to lack of availability. However if you are looking for something different, you may want to look out for the Magenta version of the device which may appear in time for Mother’s day.

Nokia Lumia 900 sales exceed expectation says AT&T


The for AT&T went on sale on August 8th in the U.S. and takes over as Nokia’s flagship device. The device went on to top Amazon’s smartphone sales lists admits several sales promotions and discounts.

However it hasn’t been smooth sailing for Nokia’s savior with some users reporting data connectivity issues.

But now AT&T has also come forward in support of the device’s success.

Nokia preparing a fix for Nokia Lumia 900 data connection issues

The for AT&T unfortunately faced connectivity issues on select devices for certain users. The company didn't take long to respond to the issue and have stated that a software update will be released on Monday, April 16 to fix the issue.

Users who are facing this issue can wait for the software update or head back to AT&T and walk away with a new unit on which the issue has been fixed.

The was launched in the U.S. on August 8th through AT&T with a huge marketing campaign re welcoming Nokia’s Windows Phone flagship into a country ruled by iOS and Android.

Nokia Lumia 900 - On top of Amazon’s phone sales

The on AT&T seams to be fairing quite well, with the device moving to the top of Amazon’s best seller list in just 24 hours since it went on sale. The Lumia 900 has managed to push past front runners like the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX and the to reach the top spot.


In fact both the first and second positions are currently held by the Lumia 900 with the Black variant holding number one spot  while the Cyan variant is on the number two spot.

Nokia has released the official video of the launch party at Times Square last night. Nokia wants to make sure their come back with Windows Phone is a success, and they are going all out as you can see the following video.

International Nokia Lumia 900 now available for preorder

The international variant of the Nokia Lumia 900 is also now available for pre-order in line with it's U.S. variant which is will be available to the public on April 8th. The international version is almost identical to U.S. version but lacks the LTE radio.

If you live in Italy you can get your hands on the Lumia 900 for €99 with a contact or €599 ($800) if you don't want it tied to a carrier. It availability is reported to be somewhere next month.
