BlackBerry AssistantAfter what seems like years of speculation, BlackBerry has finally unveiled its own digital voice assistant, which will serve as BlackBerry's version of Siri. Known simply as BlackBerry Assistant, this service will search through your email and calendar, and tell you what is trending on Twitter.

Android apps reportedly running faster on BlackBerry 10.3

Looks like there is some good news for BlackBerry 10 users who like run Android apps on their phones. Android runtime is getting updated to Android 4.3 on BlackBerry 10.3. Those who have tested the update say that Android apps open in less than two seconds, a significant improvement over the speed at which these apps open in BlackBerry 10.2.

Now a video has been released showing some of the features that are headed to the BlackBerry 10 platform. The video shows one of the most eagerly awaited - a BlackBerry digital personal assistant called Intelligent Assistant.

BlackBerry 10.3Numerous leaks and rumors hint us that the company could be working on a whole plethora of new devices, such as the BlackBerry Windermere and the BlackBerry Ontario. But BlackBerry might have even more in tow for us, as the recent BlackBerry OS 10.3 leak reveals some additional codenames for smartphones, which the Waterloo maker could be secretly working on.

BlackBerry OS 10.3.0.140 leaked for the BlackBerry Z10

We recently showed screenshots claiming to be those of the upcoming BlackBerry 10.3 software update. Now BlackBerry 10.3.0.140 has leaked out for the BlackBerry Z10 (no STL100-1's) in autoloader form. The update still seems to be in early stages of development, so its not recommended as a daily driver.

BlackBerry 10.3 leaked, reveals new features

BlackBerryBlackBerry 10.3 has leaked, revealing some new features and capabilities headed to the upcoming update to the BlackBerry 10 platform. Among the new features is a voice activated virtual assistant, which doesn't seem to be  functional in this leak. The BlackBerry 10.3 update will introduce a new black and red color scheme and will feature some changes to the QWERTY keyboard. In order to save battery life, the update will switch off the display when the phone is turned upside down or in your pocket. Additionally BlackBerry has given a new minimalist style to the controls and buttons throughout the OS.
