Gallery Image Share fix update released for Belle FP2 devices

A new software update (Fix for Gallery Image Share) is rolling out for Nokia Belle FP2 devices. The update fixes Facebook Photo sharing from your Camera and Gallery.

You can download the update on your device by opening the SW Update file and selecting the update if it available. The update is around 95kb in size and is being rolled out across various regions.

Nokia Belle Refresh devices receive Nokia Music update

The Nokia Music for Symbian app has been updated for Belle Refresh devices, like the Nokia N8, Nokia E7 and Nokia C7. The update was previously released for Belle FP2 device users and is now rolling out to older devices. The update brings a fresh standalone app with better future compatibility with Nokia’s music servers.

In order to update your device navigate to the ‘SW Update’ application on your Nokia Belle Refresh smartphone and install the 2MB update if it is available. Keep in mind that the update roll-out is region specific, so it may be awhile before it is available for your device.

Nokia Belle FP2 devices receive Email, Calendar and Music updates

Nokia is releasing some updates to their Symbian Belle Feature Pack 2 smartphones. These updates bring new versions of Email, Calendar and Music to these devices. Check out what's new with the update after the break

In order to receive the updates on your device navigate to and open the SW Update application on your Nokia Belle FP2 smartphone and check for it. The size of Email and Calendar update is about 6MB, where Nokia Music client update is about 2MB.

Nokia Belle devices receive "Upload to SkyDrive" software update


Nokia Belle devices are receiving a minor software update titled ‘Upload to SkyDrive’ which gives users the option to copy you contacts and photos from your Nokia Symbian device to the SkyDrive cloud service. Installing this update will be a great addition for Nokia 808 PureView users who can store their photos on the cloud and access them on their computers or other Lumia devices.

You can download the update by opening the SW Update application on your Nokia Symbian Belle device and select the update to install it. The update is around 381 kB in size, so it shouldn’t take long to install. Once the update is complete make sure you restart your device

Nokia has released the Symbian (Nokia) Belle FP2 software update for the Nokia 701, Nokia 700, Nokia 603 and the Nokia 808 PureView. Following this update, you will not be able to use previous hacking methods on your devices as you will receive a component built-in error. The following guide will show you how to hack the above mentioned Nokia Belle FP2 devices only using a ROM Patcher+ method. But it will use Safe Manager to insert the ROM patcher files to C:/sys/bin instead of using antivirus apps.

Safe Manager is a powerful multi-functional (Chinese) app which has a file manager capable of full system read/write access. This feature is used to copy the required files to the system folder.

[Symbian App] Nokia Music client updated for Belle FP2 devices

The Nokia Music for Symbian app has received a major update for Nokia Belle FP2 devices which now offers a Qt-based native Symbian app to replace the previous version which was largely web based. The app offers a whole new music browsing and buying experience, demonstrating that Nokia is still committed to support their Symbian platform users.

You can download the app to your device by connecting your Bell FP2 device to your computer through the Nokia Suite.

Nokia Belle FP2 available for download yet again

Nokia has been facing some issues with their Belle FP2 update for some time now. The update was first accidently leaked and immediately taken down, leaving a few lucky users with the latest version of Symbian. Then Nokia officially released the update, but took it down yet again when some users complained about certain issues they were facing with their devices after the update.
This time it is hopefully here to stay as users are reporting that the Nokia Belle FP2 update is now rolling out once again for their devices.

Nokia Belle FP2 Official change log released

The Nokia Belle Feature Pack 2 (FP2) update will be available for second generation Symbian^3 devices, which include the  Nokia 808 PureView, Nokia 603, Nokia 700 and the Nokia 701.

Nokia 808 PureView receives Nokia Belle FP2 software update again

The Nokia Belle FP2 software update leaked accidently for some 808 PureView users last month giving some users early access to the new features which will be available on their devices. Now the update has started to roll out officially and it will be available for the Nokia 808 PureView, Nokia 603, Nokia 700 and the Nokia 701.

While the features will be consistent between the devices, some of the imaging and gallery features will remain exclusive to Nokia's flagship camera phone.

Nokia Belle Refresh software updated and change-log

Nokia has released the Nokia Belle Refresh software update to their first generation of Symbian^3 devices. The Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7, Nokia Oro and the Nokia 500 which will receive the software version 111.040.1511, while the Nokia E6 software version will be 111.140.0058.

and brings new widgets, a new web browser, updated media player, better support for flash videos along with general performance and usability improvements.

Nokia Belle FP2 demonstrated on Nokia 808 PureView

Nokia hasn’t forgotten their Symbian devices and the company is working on two updates for Nokia Belle devices. The Nokia Belle Refresh which will be released to older devices and the Nokia Belle FP2 which will be available to the Nokia 808 PureView, Nokia 603, Nokia 700 and the Nokia 701. The Nokia Belle FP2 was first leaked back in July and a video demo showed the progress of the updated in August.

The Nokia 808 PureView is now receiving the Nokia Belle FP2 software update. The update will also be available for the 2nd generation Symbian^3 devices which will include the Nokia 603, Nokia 700 and the Nokia 701.

The update first appeared on Navifirm and was quickly taken down. Then Nokia released the update through the Nokia Suite and decided to take it down again.

Nokia has released the Symbian Belle Refresh software update for older Symbian devices

Nokia has confirmed that the Nokia Belle Refresh update will start rolling out for the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro. The software version on these devices will be updated to version 111.040.1511

The Nokia E6 will receive software version 111.140.0058 starting later this week while the Nokia 500 update will begin within the coming weeks.

Nokia N8 receives new firmware (111.40.805) on Navifirm

A new firmware update (111.40.805) has appeared on Navifirm for the Nokia N8. While we aren't certain on what new features are available in the new firmware, it appears to be the much awaited Belle Refresh update for the Nokia N8.

As you may already know the first generation Nokia Symbian^3 devices are set to receive an update titled Belle Refresh Update instead of the Nokia Belle FP1 or newer updates which will be available for the latest devices.

Symbian Carla not cancelled confirms Nokia


A couple of days ago we reported that Nokia may be cancelling Symbian Carla in favor of directing their resources on Windows Phone. However it turns out this may have been a rumor.


Nokia has clarified that they have no intention of cancelling the Carla update and in fact Carla was just a codename for the Belle Feature Pack 1 update which started rolling out last month for the , and the . This is the same version of Symbian OS which will run the upcoming .
