[Windows Phone app] Live Lock Screen (beta)

Windows Phone's Joe Belfiore sent out a tweet on Friday, inviting those with Windows Phone 8.1 to download the Live Lock Screen beta app. With the app you can choose from six different layouts. Time, date and notifications have a new design and different lockscreen animation. You can change the lockscreen wallpaper multiple times during the day, or you can take advantage of the daily Bing wallpaper image.

You can download the update directly on your device through the Windows Phone Store or by using the following link:

There is one bit of good news. When the app was originally introduced at Build 2014, Microsoft said that it would only run on handsets with 1GB of RAM or more. But Microsoft has been able to tweak the software so that it will work on Windows Phone 8.1 powered handsets that have 512MB of RAM. With Microsoft introducing so many entry level Lumia products with 512MB of RAM, it is important that users of these handsets get to experience the best that Windows Phone has to offer.
