EE has the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S5 for pre-order in the United Kingdom. Samsung's brand new flagship is available for pre-order exclusively through EE between March 28th and April 10th and customers who pre-order the device will be eligible for an exclusive offer through the carrier.
The Galaxy S5 features a 5.1 inch touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 16 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front camera, and a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM. Samsung has also included a fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor with the device. They Galaxy S5 is available in Charcoal Black, Shimmery White and Electric blue, and is also water and dust resistant, thanks to its IP67 certification.
On the software side the Galaxy S5 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with an updated version of Samsung's TouchWiz user interface. The new TouchWiz has been flattened and modernized, bringing new and updated features to Samsung's custom skin. For example, the enhanced S Health monitors your fitness, diet, calories burned, heart rate and distance covered and then sets you simple goals. A bit like having a personal trainer in your pocket.
