LG G2 for T-Mobile receives Android 4.4 KitKat software update

The LG G2 on T-Mobile is now receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat software update. The update brings the D80120a software version along with Android 4.4.2 which is the latest version of KitKat.

The  update brings performance the white notification bar, improvements improvements, alongside standard Android 4.4 features like cloud printing and the Chromium browsing engine for web views.

The KitKat update first started appearing through LG's PC utility a couple of days ago. Those who prefer downloading the update and manually installing it can do so using the following link:

If you manually check for the update by heading to settings > about phone > software update > update now on your LG G2, you will be prompted to installing the newest version of Android on your device from March 6th to the 25th.
