The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact maybe a compact smartphone like the HTC One mini and the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, but it has one major difference - it is a high-end flagship device. While other manufacturers release smaller variants of their flagships with mid-range hardware, Sony has decided that their compact Z1 deserved the very best.

Many Android users consider bigger as better, and so the Xperia Z1 Compact may not be the top choice for someone looking for an Android flagship device. However the fact that the Z1 Compact is easy to use and handle, makes it one of the top choices for someone stepping into the Android world after using an iPhone.

With its handleable size it includes the same high quality 20.7MP camera found on the Xperia Z1 along with the powerful quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM. Its only shortcoming is its 4.3 inch display, which has a 720p resolution compared to the 5 inch 1080p display on its larger siblings.
