As you may know, Google recently released a new 'red' Google Nexus 5 through their Play Store. Those who ordered the handset are now getting their hands on the device and as you may expect, its time for unboxing and hands on videos to appear online
In terms of hardware, you get the exact same specifications found on the original Google Nexus 5, which include a 5 inch display, up to 32GB of storage, an 8 MP camera with OIS, a secondary camera for video calls, 4G LTE connectivity, wireless charging with a 2300 mAh battery and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip with 2GB of RAM.
But the one "glaring" difference is its color, which is quite similar to the red bumper case which has been available for the handset for some time. However it is important to note, that unlike its white counterpart, the red coloring reaching out to the sides of the device to its bezel, giving it a more complete feel.
Its also important to point out that Google has chosen a matte plastic finish for its back plate, similar to the white Nexus 5, instead of using the soft-touch material they used for the black model.
Remember, that if you want to buy the red Google Nexus 5, you can do so by heading to the Google Play Store and picking between the 16GB and 32GB models.
