The Power Cover works a lot like last year's Type Cover, providing a physical keyboard for those who don't like the virtual one on the Surface tablet. However the cover includes a 30Wh battery which offers up to 150% more battery life to your device. It has the same firm bond with the new Surface when it is connected and comes with a fabric finish for an added premium feel.The Power Cover won't be ready in time for the Surface launch and is expected to arrive in early 2014, retailing at $199.99
In addition to the Power Cover, Microsoft demonstrated the Type Cover 2, which is an updated Type Cover keyboard for the new generation Surface tablets. Its thinner than the previous generation cover Microsoft has even managed to include backlighting to the keyboard. The Type cover is available in purple, pink, blue, and black. The Type Cover 2 is estimated to retail at $129.99 and will be available for pre-order on Sept. 24 in all markets where Surface devices are available for pre-order.
The Touch Cover 2 has also been updated for the new Surface tablets and is Thinner and lighter than the original Touch Cover, measuring only 2.75 mm thin, Touch Cover 2 features backlit keys for even better readability. Touch Cover 2 is more rigid, registers keystrokes with greater accuracy and features updated sensors that support a variety of gestures across the entire keyboard. Touch Cover 2 has an estimated retail price of $119.99. It will be available for pre-order on Sept. 24 in all markets where Surface devices are available for pre-order.
Since the keyboard covers are a near necessity for the perfect Surface experience, we would have much rather see Microsoft bundle it with the tablets this time around. We hope that Microsoft would consider offering at least the Touch Cover 2 as a free bundle with the Surface tablet purchases.
The Surface Pro 2 will also include a Docking Station which will turn your device into a full workstation
The Docking Station for Surface Pro includes Mini DisplayPort video output, three USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port, an Ethernet port, and 3.5mm audio in and out. While Surface Pro or Surface Pro 2 is docked, it can connect with an external monitor, Ethernet, speakers and power supply. The Docking Station for Surface Pro will have an estimated retail price of $199.99 and has a projected release date of early 2014.

It connects via Bluetooth 3.0, freeing Surface’s USB port for use by other devices. Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition will have an estimated retail price of $69.99 and will be available for pre-order in the U.S. and Canada on Sept. 24. Distribution in additional markets is projected to begin in the coming months.
The Wireless Adapter for Typing Covers will connect magnetically to any Touch or Type Cover, letting you type from anywhere in the room using Bluetooth technology, so it is even easier to connect Surface to a TV or monitor and type from another location, such as the couch. Wireless Adapter for Typing Covers will have an estimated retail price of $59.99. It will be available for pre-order in the U.S. and Canada beginning Sept. 24.
The Car Charger with USB plugs into most cars’ power or lighter ports and charges Surface without the need for an additional adapter. It also features a USB port to allow simultaneous charging of a phone or other device. Car Charger will have an estimated retail price of $49.99 and has a projected release date of early 2014.
