The HTC Desire 500 is an attractive mid range smartphone with a 4.3 inch touch display, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel BSI camera, a secondary 1.6 megapixel camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM.The device has been adequately priced at $300 but its faces its shared of competitors in its class.
Alternatives include the LG Optimus L7 II which has slightly weaker specs but a lower price tag. The Sony Xperia L is another good contender with more internal memory, but a weaker processor and camera.
