[Android app] Google Search updated, brings new voice action, location based offers and more

Google Search for Android (includes Google Now for Android 4.1 and higher) has been updated and brings several new features and improvements including new voice actions, location based based offers and more. Google Search combined with Google Now offers its users a rich information hub and a tool to manage their lives.

You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the link which follows:

The new voice action feature improves on the existing functionality offering users the ability to  "play music from your phone or the Play Store". What this means is that this update will include results from the Play Store, if what you ask for isn't in your library. The update also pulls up and displays saved Offers based on the location you are in. What's great is that it won't bombard you with offers you haven't asked for and instead will only show you offers you have already saved.

Additionally the update will allow Google Now to offer information on TV shows you are watching if your internet enabled TV is connected to the same network as your Android device. Along with these features, you can also expect the update to bring the usual bug fixes and performance improvements.

The update is being rolled out in stages on the Google Play Store, so if it isn't already available for your device, it should be soon.
