The Google Play Magazines for Android app has been updated to version 2.0.0 and now matches the new user interface introduced on Google Play Music and Google Play Books. Google Play Magazines allows you to Discover hundreds of bestselling magazines. You can shop a wide selection of titles, from cooking to technology, travel, fashion, sports, photography, and so much more. You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the link which follows:

Other than for UI changes, it doesn't look like the update has much more to offer, even though the version number has taken a huge leap from version 1.3 to version 2.0. However in terms of the interface you can see a consistency across Google's Play applications.
Google Play Magazines uses purple as its color accent. The navigation links can be found on the left side tab, with Read Now on top, My Library in the middle and Shop at the bottom.
Read Now allows you to check out the most recent issues of your magazines and has recommendations for other content you maybe interested in. My Library is a collection of your subscriptions with issues appearing under those subscriptions.
