The Microsoft Minesweeper app for Windows 8 and Windows RT has been updated and comes with several new features and improvements. Play the classic puzzle game that has been a part of Windows for more than 20 years, now re-imagined for Windows 8. Featuring adjustable difficulty, classic Minesweeper gameplay, and a brand new Adventure mode, Microsoft Minesweeper is better than ever.

The updated Microsoft Minesweeper for Windows has the following new features and improvements:
- Want to get rid of ads? A premium subscription is now available that will remove all advertisements, give you bonus daily challenge rewards, and provide cool game boosts as well!
- Try a second chance or a boost before your game in Minesweeper Adventure!
- New and improved Daily Challenge modes, including multiple-board challenges.
- Added Daily Challenge Leaderboards.
- Beginning in March, all Daily Challenges will display their difficulty ratings. The more difficult the challenge, the bigger the reward!
- Fixed issues with Daily Challenges, including some scenarios where players were losing progress or coins.
- Additional bug-fixes, performance optimizations and visual improvements.
