Sony Mobile has scheduled a press event for March 18 at its Russian branch, where it is expected to release two handsets – the mid range Sony Xperia SP (C530X) HuaShan and the entry level Sony Xperia L (C210X) Toashan. Both handsets are expected to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.The Sony Xperia SP (C530X) HuaShan will feature a 4.6 inch 720p touch display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel Exmor RS camera, a 2100 mAh battery and powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM. The Xperia SP is expected to cost EUR 300 ($390) contract free.
There is also expected to a more powerful water-proof variant with a 13 megapixel camera, 2600 mAh battery and a quad-core processor.
The Sony Xperia L will feature a 4.3 inch touch display with a 480 by 854 pixel resolution, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded though microSD, an 8 megapixel Exmor RS camera and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor Snapdragon S4 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processor with 1GB of RAM. The Xperia L is expected to cost around EUR 200 ($260) contract free.
Another Xperia handset codenamed C360X is also expected to launch with a 4.3 inch 720p touch display, 16GB of internal storage, an 8 megapixel Exmor R camera sensor and powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM.
