[Guide] Hidden Secret Codes for your Android devices

Android LogoDevelopers generally leave backdoors within operating system code, which will allow anyone with the proper knowledge to probe into deeper levels of that system. This information is generally not made available to end-users and is meant for OEMs or programmers to access the system for troubleshooting purposes.

Modern smartphones also have these backdoors which are known as secret codes. These codes are made up of number and symbol sequences or gestures and give users access to hidden menus, diagnostic tests and other areas which could change basic parameters of your device.

Since several modern smartphones including those from Samsung, LG, HTC, Motorola and Sony run the Android operating system, certain codes are shared across all these devices. Check out the following secret codes for Android and see if they are accessible on your device.

The following codes can be entered on your device through the phone’s dialer. Some of these codes may be specific to certain manufacturers, so there is no guarantee that they will work across all Android smartphones.

[NOTE] Some of these codes can cause major changes in your device configuration. Please do not proceed unless you are well aware of the risks of doing so.
