Microsoft has just pushed out the second update to the Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview, which was first released in April. The first update to the Developer Preview was released in May 14, and added improvements to battery life and bug fixes based on the users' feedback.

The new update only brings minor improvements and bug fixes to the platform and there was no official changelog. It is not known if Microsoft plans to release any more updates to its mobile platform with its official launch set for late June 2014. The new update brings the 12393 build number, is around 20MB in size and can take between 20 and 30 minutes to download and install depending on the device, free space and number of installed apps. One of the changes that you will probably notice is a new boot screen with the Windows Phone flag.

Windows Phone 8.1 will debut on new devices like the Nokia Lumia 630,. Lumia 635 and Lumia 930 and will be rolling out by the end of the month for all old and new Windows Phone 2014 handsets including the lower-end models such as Nokia Lumia 520.
