[Android app] Carbon - Backup solution for Android leaves beta now available on Google Play

Carbon for Android is a backup and sync solution for the platform, designed by Kouch, creator or ClockworkMod Recovery and ROM Manager. The Android platform greatly lacks a good backup and restore manager and Carbon hopes to fill in that space.

The app is designed to allow users to backup apps and app data to local storage or the cloud, or to sync apps and data between Android devices. But, the best thing about the app is that it does not require a rooted device. This gives the app a clear advantage over Titanium Backup.

You can download the app directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the link which follows:

The FREE version of the app is ad-supported and limits users to backup and restore from your local storage or your PC.

Requirements Android 4.0 or greater

You can purchase the premium version of Carbon which removes the ads and allows automatic backups, syncing Android devices and backing up your data to cloud services like Dropbox, Google Drive and Box.

The only issue with the app is that it doesn’t work with Motorola devices due to a bug on those devie which causes an issue with Android’s back-up mechanism.
