Five more reasons to switch to the Nokia Lumia 920

The Nokia Lumia 920 is now available for purchase around the world. A couple of months ago we shared “Five reasons to switch to the Nokia Lumia 920” and we decided to follow it up with five more reasons why you may want to switch to the Lumia 920 Windows Phone.

The Lumia 920 is one of the first wave of devices to run Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8. It features a 4.5 inch super sensitive HD touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage, an 8 megapixel PureView camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

Additionally Nokia has included their own suite of apps in the Windows Phone store, including Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Nokia City Lens which combined with the features and improvements of Windows Phone 8 make the Lumia 920 a great device to own.

But lets get specific with the five new reasons why you should switch to a Lumia 920 this holiday season. Keep in mind we are continuing from our first five.

Number 06 – Zirconium camera deco and side buttons

We know that the Polycarbonate body on the Lumia 920 is immune to scratches, but Nokia has even looked into the finer details of the device, like the area around the camera and the side buttons. Nokia has built them using an incredibly hard substance called zirconium which makes these components both scratch and dirt resistant.

You can be assured that you Lumia 920 can last the strain of time and your pockets.

Number 07 – High powered flash

The camera on the Lumia 720 features OIS technology through a specially designed floating lens. But the device is capable of performing very well in low light situations. Part of this is achieved by a specially designed next generation high-power dual-LED flash. This gives you a significantly more powerful flash of light in those darker situations. This results in fantastic photos even when the subject is further away from you.

Since the dual-LED flash on Lumia 920 uses lesser battery power than the Xenon flash on the Nokia 808 PureView, it allows the Lumia 920 of offering better battery life. In fact the dual-LED flash even manages to outperform the 808 PureView in certain low light situations.

Number 08 – Personal music equalizer

The Lumia 920 is built for the music lover and offers a sound equalizer, which offers users the best possible music and video experience. There are eighteen presents to choose a setting which suites you.

Number 09 – Automatic photo upload

The Lumia 920 comes with at least 7GB of storage with SkyDrive. This allows you to automatically upload your photos to your SkyDrive, allowing you to view the photos immediately on any web enabled tablet, laptop or computer. You can even upload your photos in full resolution photos if you are connected to your Wi-Fi.

Number 10 – Bluetooth voice commands

When your Lumia 920 is connected to your Bluetooth headset or your car audio system, you can read or ignore your text messages using voice commands. Just ask your Lumia 920 to “read” and it will recite the incoming SMS or say “ignore” and the message will be left for later.

Additionally the Lumia 920 takes advantages of the many new features of Windows Phone 8 including the Facebook personalization which allows users to select random photos from your Facebook albums to appear on your lock screen. It also enjoys Rooms which allow you to create a room for sharing calendars, photos and notes or have a private group chat with your friends and family.
