Microsoft’s campaign with Windows Phone 8 suggests that their newest smartphone platform is built around its user. Microsoft’s slogan “Windows Phone 8 has been reinvented around you” was commonly used during the keynote presentation at the Windows Phone 8 event. The company event invented celebrity Jessica Alba on stage to share her experience with using her Nokia Lumia 920.
Nokia is now moving forward with this slogan in their first TV ads for their Lumia Windows Phone devices. The commercials show how regular people using use their Nokia Lumias and the story of why the switched to Windows Phone.
The first ad focuses on the features of Windows Phone 8 and our ability to customize the Lumia handsets to suite our personality. It also touches on Nokia Music which will be a part of Windows Phone 8 and an alternative to Microsoft’s own Xbox Music service.
The second ad focuses more on the Nokia specific features on the Lumia smartphones like the Carl Ziess lens, PureView camera, Nokia Maps, Nokia City Lens.
In any case the Nokia Lumia 920 and the budget friendly Nokia Lumia 820 are great Windows Phone 8 devices which give users the added benefits of using a Nokia device along with the rich new features of Windows Phone 8. Are you planning to switch to Lumia ?
