Verizon has officially announced the Nokia Lumia 822 and it joins Verizon’s fall lineup of Windows Phones. The Lumia 822 adds a mid-range Windows Phone 8 offering alongside Verizon’s high-end HTC Windows Phone 8X.
The Lumia 822 features a 4.3 inch touch display, an 8 megapixel camera, 8GB of storage which can be expanded through microSD, a secondary camera for video calls, and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.
The device will also proprietary apps including Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps, Nokia City Lens, Nokia Music and more.
Verizon is still to reveal the release date of the handset, but we believe it may be in line with the rumored November 8th. We should know more about the device later today when Microsoft celebrates Windows Phone 8.

The Nokia Lumia 822 also comes with Nokia Drive+, an industry leading, turn-by-turn voice navigation solution featuring offline access and pre-loaded US maps - replacing the need for a standalone personal navigation device. In addition, the Nokia Lumia 822 comes with Nokia City Lens, the latest addition to the Nokia location suite and the start of a new augmented reality experience that also enhances Nokia Maps.
