Nokia Lumia 920 vs. Nokia 808 PureView - Low light comparison

The Nokia Lumia 920 is set to take on all comers. It has already proven itself against the Apple iPhone 5 and then went up against the Samsung Galaxy S III successfully. But how will Nokia’s newest smartphone fair against the current Nokia flagship – The Nokia 808 PureView.

Check out the following video comparison:

The Nokia 808 PureView features a larger 41 megapixel camera with noise-reducing, pixel oversampling and lossless zoom. The device uses oversampling to provide detailed images with reduced noise.

The Nokia Lumia 920 features an 8.7 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a floating lens. These features contribute to superior low light photography and reduces blurriness caused by shaky hands.

It is clear that the Lumia 920 wins this round as it is built for these kind of conditions, while the 808 PureView is meant for daytime photos where camera movement is not an issue.

What we hope to see is a combination of the two PureView technologies in the Phase 3 of PureView. This would result in an amazing camera phone.
