The Symbian platform was in line to receive a version of Microsoft Office as part of the Microsoft - Nokia partnership. The first version of Microsoft Apps included Lync, OneNote, PowerPoint Broadcaster and Document Connection. Now version 2.0 of Microsoft Apps brings mobile versions of Word, PowerPoint and Excel, thus bringing the entire illustrious Microsoft Mobile Office Suite to the Symbian platform.The Microsoft Mobile Office Suite allows you to view and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents as you would on a desktop.
The first wave of the Microsoft Apps 2.0 update will be available for the following devices.
The Nokia 808 PureView will also receive the Microsoft Office Suite when it launches. Availability on the Nokia N8, Nokia E6 and Nokia 500 will be announced later.
You can download the applications directly on your supported device by running Software Update or by checking for updates through the Nokia Suite.
