When Apple introduced the Apple iPhone 4S, they also introduced the world to Siri - the personal digital voice assistant who resides within Apple's latest smartphone helping manage your day to day tasks. While Siri took the world by storm, what everyone failed to realize was that Microsoft had also introduced their own voice managed assistant on Windows Phone. Microsoft feels they were ahead in the voice assistant with Tellme on Windows Phone and that their own service can compete with Apple's Siri offering.
Microsoft Tellme may not have Sir's wow factor, but it can definitely get the job done, as you will see in this video which follows:
While Microsoft's voice service is quite accurate, the following video demonstrates some disastrous results.
You may think this video compares Apples to Oranges, or in this case Mangoes, but it gives us a clear idea of the capabilities of both voice assistants. While Siri obviously has more features, Microsoft has brought Tellme to the Xbox as well and we will likely see in integrated into Windows 8 in the future.
Siri on the other hand is currently only available with the Apple iPhone 4S. Apple has not shared if they will bring their voice assistant to other platforms, but we hope that they will in the future.

TellMe obviously works better than this, but Microsoft needs to tweak their software to be able to reach a world audience, and not just certain locals.
