[Android app] Google+ updated

Google+ for AndroidThe Google+ for Android app has been updated. The new version takes comes one day after Google released the update for the iOS platform. The Android version brings the same features offered with some extra goodies as well.

You can download the application directly on your device from the Android Market or by using the link which follows.

Much like the iOS version, the most noticeable change will be the new red logo which replaces the darker one. I personally preferred the dark theme, but assume they chose a brighter color to make it stand out against dark backgrounds.

Along with uploading high resolution photos, search within Google+, and +1 for photos, the update brings back the ability to auto upload videos. You can also click links to profiles and posts from within the app and +1 comments. The update also brings updates to the messaging feature making it more like Google Talk. You can see when someone is online and chat with a friend using their phone number.

The update also improves stability and fixes bugs from the old version.
