[iOS App] GMail


Yesterday we reported that Google had submitted a GMail app for the iOS platform. It looks like the approval process has been quick and smooth and the application is now available for download. Android users have had access to a native application from the very beginning, but iOS users have been restricted to using the mobile website or relying on Apple’s inbuilt Mail app to check  their GMail accounts. Now they can enjoy most of the features already available to Android users on their iPhones.

GMail for iOS has the following features
  • Receive notification badges for new messages
  • Read your mail with threaded conversations
  • Organize your mail by archiving, labeling, starring, deleting, and reporting spam
  • Keep track of important messages with priority inbox
  • Auto-complete contact names as you type
  • Send and receive attachments
  • Search through all your mail
