Adobe offers HTML5 support in Flash Media Server

Adobe has announced that they will be adding HTML5 support to their Flash branded media Server. What this means is that devices like Apple's iPhone and iPad or even Microsoft's Windows Phone devices can playback video without the need of the Flash plugin, using HTML instead.

Its no secret that Apple's iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad do not support Flash. In fact Steve Jobs Steve Jobs actually recommended that Adobe should focus more on creating HTML5 tools for the future.

However websites that our built on Flash still have no luck. In any case this is a step in the right direction by Adobe considering Microsoft's recently announced Windows 8 platform also relies heavily on HTML5.
