Apple has been setting standards for consumer devices since their release of the iPhone back in 2007 and they may be set to do it again. According to a report Apple may be working with suppliers to bring a brand new Mac to it's product lineup by the end of this year.The anonymous source from one of Apple's Asian suppliers has claimed that the new device will be different from anything we have seen before and will be categorized under a new product category. However the source has not not given any specific details on the product.Now this leaves us to speculate on what to expect.
Apple continues to bring their mobile platform iOS close to their desktop platform OS X, by offering similar experiences for the users on both platforms. Will the new product bring OS X to tablets ? Will Apple somehow make desktop computers like the iMac portable?. We don't know. But if this rumor is true we can be assured that Apple will have something that will set the standards for computing in the years to come.
