Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 event announced, new tablets expected

Samsung just announced that it’s going to host a press event called the "Samsung Galaxy Premier 2014" on June 12 in New York. The invitation to the event confirms that the company will unveil new Galaxy Tabs  as it contains the text "Tab Into Color".

Recently there have been several rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 SM-T800, and the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 SM-T700. Both are high-end products that will reportedly use Samsung’s latest octa-core Exynos 5420 processor with 3GB of RAM, while their AMOLED displays should have 2560 by 1600 pixel resolutions. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, which was released in the second half of 2011 is the only tablet from the company to feature an AMOLED display to date.

On the software side, both tablets are expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung's Magazine UX. While design-wise, the tablets are expected to borrow elements from the Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone, including a doted pattern for the rear case.

Samsung is also reportedly working on a huge 13.3-inch tablet, but there’s no way of telling if Samsung is planning to announce this, too, at the June 12 event.
