Nokia's first Android smartphone beats Lumia 1020 on Browsermark

NokiaNokia's mystery Android phone has appeared on the Browsermark benchmark, and appears to be a mid-range device. The Nokia X (aka Nokia Normandy), as it is often referred to, scored 1885 points on the processor-intensive Browsermark test, putting it in the same league as mid-range Android devices like the Sony Xperia C. Interestingly, the score is slightly above the one of the higher-end Nokia Lumia 1020.

In Browsermark, the Nokia device appears under the RM-980 model name, and it is confirmed to be a Nokia-made phone running on an unspecified version of Android. The benchmark stats also reveal that for this test, it’s been running mobile Chrome.

The Nokia X,  has previously surfaced on AnTuTu, and it’s expected to feature a screen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (same resolution used by Sony), run on Android 4.4.1 with a Snapdragon chip under the hood, and with a 5-megapixel camera.
