The device is expected to launch in Korea on October 10th and is priced at 1.09 million won. The Galaxy Round will initially be offered in Luxury Brown only, but more colors are expected at a later time. Samsung has made use of the curved display technology to bring some interesting features to one of the first devices of its class.
A feature called the "roll effect" will be available on the device, which shows the time, missed calls and the battery level when the device is tipped toward in landscape mode. You can see the Roll Effect in action in the following video demo
Another feature called the "Gravity Effect" allows you to interact with the display for various actions. For example when you are playing music, you can press the left side of the screen to play the previous track, and tap the right side of the screen to play the next track.
The Side Mirror feature allows you to tilt the phone to the left or right to access certain photos and video in your gallery. Multi Window is included on the handset allowing you to multitask by opening two apps at the same time, both apps claiming part of the screen.
