Nokia Sirius with Windows RT revealed

The Nokia Sirius Windows RT tablet launch is getting closer and alongside this device, Nokia is also expected to unveil the Nokia Lumia 1520 (aka. Nokia Bandit) later this month.

But meanwhile the Nokia Sirius has been revealed in a new picture along with details on specifications, giving us a clearer idea what the tablet will look like.

The specs listed for the device have previously been reported already. It includes a 10.1 inch full (1080p) HD display with brightness booster for better outdoor visibility, 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, optional 4G LTE connectivity, 10 hours of battery life a 6 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front facing camera, a microHDMI port, a microUSB port and powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip with 2GB of RAM.

The price is still expected to be $499 which is still too high for a Windows RT device which doesn't have the app ecosystem to compete with Android or iOS, even in the tablet market. Nokia has to also consider being competitive with other OEMs as devices like the Asus Transformer Book T100 is priced at an affordable $350 and offers a full Windows 8 experience.

The Nokia Sirius tablet is will have a multifunction cover with a keyboard and battery expansion. The new Surface tablets are also expected to feature a similar Power Cover. Hopefully Nokia will have a better design for their keyboard, which wont add too much bulk to the device.

The Nokia Sirius is expected to be officially unveiled on September 26th, which is just weeks away, so we wont have to long to see the device first hand.
