The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for AT&T is now receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update. The update is not being offered OTA (over-the-air) and will require the Samsung Kies software in order to get the new software.
The update will bring the Android 4.1.2 software version which includes the performance improvements and enhancements from Project Butter, the Google Now digital assistant which keeps your information organized and the actionable notifications which allow you to interact with certain apps without having to open them.
The changes also include improved text entry and spell checking, customizable widgets which change size to fit into your homescreen, a new dictionary for better auto-suggestions, an improved browser with customization features, enhanced email capabilities with better security options and more.
