Certain sources are suggesting that HP is getting ready to introduce and Android powered tablet. The device is expected to be a high end model powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor which was first introduced at the CES 2013. HP is said to have been working on their tablet since Thanksgiving and it would likely be released alongside Toshiba’s own Tegra 4 powered device.
The report also suggests that HP will be holding a private meeting during the MWC, most likely to demonstrate their new tablet. However HP is not expected to publicly unveil this device during the event. If HP doesn't plan on offering an extremely low priced solution, they will have to compete with features if they want their device to stand out among the somewhat crowded Android tablet market.
HP’s decision to build an Android tablet comes after their failed attempt to profit from webOS. Will an Android tablet from HP make the difference the company needs? Or should they focus on building a Windows 8 solution instead? Share your thoughts below.
