The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 for Verizon will be receiving a new software update which is expected to fix the exploit which was recently discovered on certain devices powered by Samsung’s Exynos processor. The update brings software version IMM76D.LP11 to your device, but the Android version will remain the same. The device which like it's name features a 7.7 inch display, up to 32GB of internal storage, a 3 megapixel camera, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.4GHz dual core processor.
The change-log suggests that the update adds enhancements to reduce the electrical consumption during power off charging.
It is also likely that Samsung would use this opportunity to fix the Exploit on their Exynos processors. The Samsung Exynos 4210 chipset in the device allows a malicious app to be installed allowing an unknown person to remotely wipe your data and leave your tablet bricked.
You can download the update to your device when you receive a notification or manually check for the update by heading over to Settings on your device.
