- Download Odin
- - Download Samsung drives for your device (The GSIII drives work with the Galaxy Note II)
- - Download and extract the rooted stock odin images (Root66_VZW_stock_VRLAJB 4.1.1) | mirror
- - Switch your device off. Hold Volume Down + Home + Power buttons until you see a yellow triangle, Next press Volume Up to get access to Odin or download mode.
- - Open Odin and connect the provided USB cable from your computer to your device. Select the rooted system.img file you downloaded in Step 3 and select start. The process should take around 8 minutes, following which Odin will say pass/reset.
- - Remove and reinsert the battery.
- - Press and hold the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons until you see the green android logo. You should now be able to boot into Android Stock Recovery (ASR).
- - Wipe cache and reboot your device.
[NOTE] If you experiece any errors, boot back into ASR and wipe data.)
- - That’s it… Your Samsung Galaxy Note II for Verizon is now rooted on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
All you have to do is remove the following files using a app like filemanager and you are back to your unrooted stock state.
