Microsoft Surface owners now having issues with Touch Cover

The Microsoft Surface RT is a great tablet, but the same can’t be said about the device’s Touch Cover. This innovative accessory protects your display, works as a touch sensitive keyboard and can even be folded back and used as a stand.

But it looks like all these tasks have been straining the accessory as users have been reporting that the cover was coming apart at its seams. A user who took the cover back to the store for a replacement was told by the representative, that at least two others had faced the same problem.

The issue doesn't seem to be isolated to the US as users in the UK have also been facing issues, which means that we cant isolate it as a defective batch of covers. The cause seems to be a weak seam which breaks when the Touch Cover is folded. But this is yet to be confirmed by Microsoft.

This issue follows reports of audio issues on the Microsoft Surface and its not uncommon for a first product to face some issues due to the lack of real world testing. Do you face this or any other issues with your Microsoft Surface? Share a comment below.
