Get Windows Media Center for Windows 8 Pro for free for a limited time


Today Microsoft unveiled Windows 8 to the world, during a special event in New York City. Microsoft is now giving users a chance to get Windows Media Center for free for a limited time, when you purchase or upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. In case you are wondering, Windows 8 Pro will cost just $69.99. This is an introductory offer which will run between October 26th 2012 and January 31, 2013, so make sure you grab your keys while the offer is still available. Also keep in mind that there is a constraint to the number of licenses you can obtain as it is limited to one product key per email address.

To get started Head over to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/feature-packs and enter your email address along with the CAPTCHA code for verification. The product key will be emailed to you.
  1. Go to the Start Screen and type “add features” and tap/click on “Settings”.
  2. Tap/click on “Add features to Windows 8” and select “I want to buy a product key online,” if you want to purchase a product key. You can select “I already have a product key” if you want.
  3. Enter the product key provided to you, then select “Next”.
  4. You will be prompted to Add Features, and once you do the product will be installed.
