CyanogenMod 10 Nightly with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean now available to download
The Android 4.1.2 update was released for the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and as an Over-the-Air (OTA) update Google Nexus 7 in certain regions just yesterday. Even so the folks at CyanogenMod (CM) have managed to add the latest version of Jelly Bean to their nightly builds of CyanogenMod 10.
The 4.1.2 update doesn't contain any significant changes, but brings the mandatory bug fixes and stability improvements you would expect with Android updates. It did however add landscape support to the Nexus 7 homescreen, a feature which many users were disappointed didn’t make to Google’s tablet.
The bug fixes include a solution to the wireless enterprise connection issue as well as multiple tweaks to the browser, how audio us handled and improvements to a number of other areas.
The latest CM 10 build is based entirely on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and carries build number JZ054K. While CM 10 users have already have screen orientation thanks to the Trebuchet launcher, the latest version of Android brings much needed bug fixes along with some one-touch gestures.
You can download the latest update to CM 10 by heading over to the updater app under your device settings. If you already have the latest nightly build installed, you can get the update Over-the-Air by heading over to Settings > About Phone > CyanogenMod Updates.
