Samsung Galaxy S III receives leaked Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean ROM


The Samsung Galaxy S III is set to receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean soon, but that doesn't keep firmware leaks from happening. The recently leaked ROM is the reported to be the ‘most stable’ yet, which suggests that Samsung could be close on finalizing Jelly Bean for release. This makes the rumored August 29th a possible reality for the Jelly Bean update.

The leaked ROM which contains the build I9300XXDLI4 and the build date September 7th is reportedly quite stable. Along with the new features expected in Android 4.1 it is reported to have improved Wi-Fi reception, faster battery charging, RAM optimizations, fixed brightness issues and more.

The I9300XXDLI4 ROM is reported to have the following improvements:
  • Brightness Issue is fixed
  • Wi-Fi reception improved
  • RAM Optimizations
  • Fast Battery Charging
  • App Drawer much smoother
  • Apps open really fast
  • Very Fast and Smooth
The instructions on how to install the ROM on your Samsung Galaxy S III follows:
  • Download Android 4.1.1 ROM
  • Unzip the file
  • Open Odin 3.04 (already included in the firmware package)
  • Restart phone in download mode (Home+power+vol down)
  • Connect phone and wait until you get a yellow sign in Odin
  • Add I9300XXDLI4_I9300OXADLI4_I9300XXDLI4_HOME.tar.md5 to PDA
  • Make sure re-partition NOT ticked
  • Start flash, sit back and wait a few minutes.
