Samsung Galaxy S III receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update
The Samsung Galaxy S III is one of the first non Google devices to receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the update starts its roll out today in Poland. The update is being offered over the Samsung Kies software and not OTA, which is quite common during early release phases.
However Poland houses a large Samsung R&D unit, so we aren't sure if this is a limited roll out for testing purposes or the start of the global roll-out Especially since Samsung confirmed that the roll-out was set to begin in October.
But since reports are suggesting that users in Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia are also receiving the update, this could very well be the real deal.
Galaxy S III users can now savor Jelly Bean features like Google Now, the buttery smoothness of the tweaked UI, the updated notification system, two home screen modes and a resizable pop up video player window like the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
