Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM

The Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon is one of the devices which is in the front lines for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But we know that the software update will have to go through both the manufacturer’s and the carrier’s vigorous testing before it rolls out to users.

However a leaked version of Jelly Bean has been made available for the Galaxy S III and it even has the Samsung TouchWiz UI on board.

This is not the first ROM leak for the Galaxy S III. The International variant was the first with a leaked ROM followed by the Samsung Galaxy S III for T-Mobile.

As you would already know, leaked ROMs are nearly never bug free, and this ROM will leave users having to deal with the failure to show GPS directions. There is also another bug which doesn't allow you to set the wallpaper by using the long press method, you can work around this by setting your wallpaper through the gallery.
