Windows 8 Release Candidate - Coming in June ?
Now that the Windows 8 Consumer Preview is among us. If you haven’t grabbed it yet, you can get it here. But those who are using the Consumer Preview will now be wondering what the next stage of Windows 8 will bring and when it will be released.
Well you may not have to wait much longer as reports suggest that we may see the Windows 8 Release Candidate go public as early as in June.
The report suggest that we can expect at least a few changes from the current beta (Consumer Preview). The Charms bar, the Desktop version of Internet Explorer and the language input menu are expected to see some changes. There are also images which show the Explorer using a flatter interface compared to the Consumer Preview.
Windows 8 is also reported to get new icons and graphics to reflect the new minimalistic appearance of the latest version of Microsoft’s operating system. We should see the visual changes closer to the public release.
The Windows 8 Release Candidate will be the last stage of the products development cycle before it is Released to Manufacturers (RTM) following which it will be available to the public.
if Microsoft keeps to this schedule we may gets our hands on the final release of Windows 8 by October 2012. Windows 8 will also make it’s way to ARM, bringing the full desktop experience to the ultra portable tablets for the first time.
