Samsung has undoubtedly made a mark in the mobile industry with their Samsung Galaxy Series. The Samsung Galaxy S II receiving the 'Best Smartphone' award for 2012 is proof of that. However all eyes are now eagerly awaiting the release of the Samsung Galaxy S III which will take the position of the company's flagship device with a quad-core processor on board.We already know Samsung is hard at work preparing their new smartphone and reports suspected that the device will be released in the third quarter of 2012. Now it turns out that the Galaxy S III may be launched as early as April this year.
Apple is rumored to launch their iPhone 5 during the WWDC 2012 in June, and an early release of the Galaxy S III will put Samsung into a good position to try and win over some Apple devotees.
In terms of Software the Samsung Galaxy S III will likely run Android Ice Cream Sandwich. While manufacturers are still working on bringing the latest version of Android to their handsets, the Galaxy S III with ICS would surely boost the user-base of Android's latest treat.
