NVidia Tegra 3 - Teased on a video


NVidia is getting set to release their Tegra 3 chip which will likely debut in the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2. The chip which is codenamed Kal El is due to launch next month and tablets will be like the Transformer will feature them in the 2011 holiday season and smartphones will have have them by 2012

While NVidia is still to release any official news on this processor a leaked video shows us what to expect in the next generation of mobile CPUs


While tablets can benefit from the quad core power it seams a little to early for quad cores to make it's way to smartphones. The Apple iPhone 4S, Google Galaxy Nexus and Motorola Droid RAZR which are some of the current premium handsets do a pretty good job with two cores.
