Sony Xperia TL for AT&T receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean


The Sony Xperia TL for AT&T is now receiving the  software update. The Xperia TL features a 4.5 inch touch screen, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary HD camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

Users will receive a notification when the update is available for your devices at which point you can initiate the download. If you haven't received the notification you can manually check for the update by heading to Applications > Settings > About phone > Software update and following the onscreen directions.

Sony Xperia TL receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update

Along with the Sony Xperia T, the Sony Xperia TL on AT&T is also receiving the  software update. The update comes a couple of months earlier than it was previously scheduled and brings the smooth performance of project butter along with Google Now which will help you keep track of your weather, traffic conditions, sports updates along with other special updates. It will also bring the other security enhancements you will expect from Jelly Bean. The update is also reported to bring improved battery life.

Sony Xperia TL and LG Optimus G now available on AT&T in the US


AT&T has decided to have a launch of their own following the launch of the Apple iPad mini and have officially unveiled two high end smartphones on their network - the Sony Xperia TL and the LG Optimus G. The Optimus G is purchased for $199.99 while the Xperia TL will cost you $99.99 with both requiring a two-year commitment.

This attractive and well endowed smartphone is available in the US through AT&T and has an extremely affordable asking price of $99.99 with a two year contract. With the Xperia TL set to be James Bond’s phone of choice in the upcoming Sky Fall, it will definitely find its way into the hands of die hard 007 fans.
