As the U.S. prepares to welcome their first Windows Phone from Nokia, T-Mobile has marked the Nokia Lumia 710 as 'coming soon'. The device which is available in black and white will be available on January 14, for just $50 with a 2-year contract.
The Lumia 710 features a 3.7-inch WVGA scratch resistant touchscreen display with ClearBlack technology, 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lenses and LED flash and is powered by a 1.4GHz single core processor.
Windows Phones still have far to go before they can compete in sales numbers with the iPhone or Android handsets, but their recent success in the UK with the Nokia Lumia 800 and making it to the top 3 on-contract handsets sold on Amazon shows that they are settling into a strong third and fighting their way up.
Holding the number one spot on Amazon's on contract phone list is the HTC Titan. There is not much surprise here with it's 4.7 inch display, 8MP camera, 16GB of storage and a 1.5GHz processor it is quite a titan of a smartphone. The titan runs on the AT&T GSM network and costs $99.99 on a 2-year contract
The first Nokia Windows Phones, the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 710 have made their way to India and are now available for purchase. Nokia has spared no expense to ensure that their new path to Windows Phone is received well in what has been a exorbitant marketing campaign.
The Nokia Lumia 710 has made it's way to the U.S. through T-Mobile. Other than for the branding and some software customizations it is pretty much the same device under the hood with it's 3.7 inch ClearBlack WVGA touch display, 5MP camera capable of 720p HD video and 1.4 GHz processor.

It looks like T-Mobile will be the first carrier to bring a Nokia Windows Phone to the U.S. and it will be in the form of the Nokia Lumia 710. The Nokia Lumia 710 is now on sale in Taiwan along with the Nokia Lumia 800 and should make it's way to other select regions in the coming week.
The Lumia 710 is next expected to hit Singapore, Russia, Hong Kong, and India at an estimated retail price of €270 ($361) and will be available through operators, retailers and open channels.
