Virgin Mobile offers new $20 plan starting today through Walmart; customers can choose unlimited calls or text

Starting today, Virgin Mobile will offer a new $20 monthly payLo plan through Walmart. Customers who choose this plan will have to decide whether they primarily use their device for calling or texting.  If you choose calling, you can customize your plan with unlimited calls (and fifty monthly texts) or unlimited texts (and fifty monthly calls)

Kyocera Hydro Elite - Video Review

The Kyocera Hydro Elite is a mid-range smartphone for Verizon designed for people that want this added layer of protection with water and splash protection. The device features a 4.3 inch touch display with a 720 by 1280 pixel resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM.

The Hydro Elite runs  which has a near stock experience and is priced at $50 with a two year contract with the carrier.

Kyocera Torque - Hands On Video


The Kyocera Torque for Sprint which was recently confirmed to arrive on March 8th was on display at the ongoing Mobile World Congress. The device features a 4 inch touch display, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5 megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture, a secondary HD camera for video calls 4G LTE connectivity, and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

This  handset comes with a 2500 mAh battery which promises over 18 hours of battery life.  That’s makes the Kyocera Torque a perfect travel buddy on that next camping trip.

Kyocera Echo - Gingerbread update fixed

Sprint rolled out the Gingerbread update for the Kyocera Echo on August 1st, but faced problems when the update bricked some phones. Sprint has now released a statement claiming that they had addressed the issue along with Kyocera.

Kyocera Echo receives Android 2.3 Gingerbread software update

The Kyocera Echo is now receiving the Android 2.3 Gingerbread software update starting today from Sprint. The update brings features like pinch-to-zoom support, Swype 3.0, Eco mode and an improved downloads app. Features like NFC support and Wi-Fi calling have not still found their way to the device.
