Verizon has started rolling out an update (1.3.418.MB870) for the which brings Android 2.3.5 along with other performance improvements and bug fixes.

The update will disable root access to the device and any user who wants to retain root privileges will have to downgrade to Android 2.3.4 factory state.

Motorola Droid 3 receives Android 2.3.4 software update

The Motorola Droid 3 has received a firmware update which brings bug fixes and performance improvements to the device along with Google Talk video chat. The update takes the phone to build 5.6.890.  This updated the Android version on the device to 2.3.4 which is the version with the Google Talk with video option. It looks like Motorola is getting some extra care from Google now, as most devices still have only 2.3.3 available and users are still waiting for the newer Android update.

HTC Droid Incredible receives Android 2.3 Gingerbread software update


After receiving  back in August last year, the HTC Droid Incredible is now receiving Android 2.3.4 which is the latest version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread.   Verizon who shared this information claimed that the update will bring the new features, security and stability updates which come with Gingerbread. It will also fix several issues which have been reported by Verizon customers regarding MMS Messaging, Bluetooth connectivity and the City ID app.

HTC Sensation receives Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread software update

The HTC Sensation is receiving the Android 2.3.4 software update in Europe which brings the latest version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread along with other features and improvements. The update is being made available to non-carrier branded handsets and features video chat through Google Talk.
