First Windows Phone 8 devices now available through AT&T

Have you been waiting for a new Windows Phone 8 device? AT&T customers in the U.S. now have three brand new devices to choose from. The Nokia Lumia 920 is the company’s latest flagship accompanied by its affordable sibling the Nokia Lumia 820. The third in the lineup is the HTC Windows Phone 8X – a signature Windows Phone built in close consultation with Microsoft which features Beats audio.

Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC 8X for Verizon now available on pre-order, shipping stars November 13


AT&T may be the first to offer Windows Phone 8 devices with the launch the highly anticipated Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 820 and the HTC 8X starting tomorrow. But Verizon is ready with their own lineup and will start taking pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC Windows Phone 8X starting November 9, at 1.00 AM eastern time.

AT&T officially announces prices for Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and HTX 8X


AT&T has officially announced the prices for three upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices on their network – The Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 820 and the HTC Windows Phone 8X. Users can now get their hands on the newest Windows smartphones to accompany their Windows 8 tablets.

HTC Windows Phone 8X - Video Reviews

The HTC Windows Phone 8X is the company’s flagship Windows Phone 8 device. It features a  4.3 inch touch display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary HD camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. 

The HTC 8X adopts the features and design of Windows Phone 8 and incorporates the attractive colors of the live tiles on the device. Alongside the Nokia Lumia 920, the HTC 8X provides users with a suitable alternate if they prefer a premium Beats Audio over the Lumia’s PureView camera.

 The HTC 8X will be available in the U.S. through AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile and can be seen in the following video review.

Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC 8X for Verizon set to launch on November 8th ?


A photo of the Nokia Lumia 822 and the HTC Windows Phone 8X with Verizon branding have been recently revealed, validating the reports that these devices were headed to the nation’s largest carrier. Both devices are reported to be headed to Verizon on November 8th with the Lumia 822 costing $99.99 while the HTC 8X is priced at $199.99 with two year contracts.

Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X now available for pre-order on Best Buy for AT&T


Microsoft is expected to officially introduced Windows Phone 8 on October 29. With just a week left Best Buy and AT&T have announced the prices for the Nokia Lumia 920 and the HTC Windows Phone 8X. The Lumia 920 will cost $149.99 on a two year contract, while the HTC 8X will cost $99.99 on the same contract. Both phones can be purchased for $599.99 without a contract.

After Microsoft acquired Skype late last year it was expected that application would be deeply integrated into future versions of Windows. When Microsoft releases Windows 8 on October 26th we will get an idea of how Skype will be a part of the desktop and tablet environment, but a recently released video shows us a glimpse of what we can expect from Skype on Windows Phone 8.

HTC Windows Phone 8X coming in 8GB and 16GB variants to AT&T ?


A new lineup of Windows Phone 8 devices are set to be launched in the coming months, and the HTC Windows Phone 8X a HTC Windows Phone 8S will join these lineup alongside offerings from Nokia and Samsung. Up until now, only a 16GB variant of the HTC 8X has been revealed, but a rumor suggests that there may also be an 8GB version coming.

Pre-orders for Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC Windows Phone 8X starting on October 21 for AT&T ?


The HTC Windows Phone 8X and the Nokia Lumia 920 are part of the first wave of Windows Phone 8 devices. While the devices will probably be unveiled officially on October 29th at the scheduled Windows Phone 8 event, both devices will be available on pre-order through AT&T starting October 21.

The smartphones are expected to be available through retail stores sometime in early November, which indicates that the pre-orders should have started shipping by then.

It features a 4.3 inch touch display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary HD camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

The HTC 8X has a 1,800mAh battery sealed in a 10.1mm thin uni-body frame which comes in a variety of colors to choose from. Despite having heavy competition with the Samsung ATIV S from the Android veteran and the Nokia Lumia 920 with its PureView camera, HTC hopes to use its new look and Beats audio to find itself a place in the Windows Phone market.
