Android Ice Cream Sandwich preview

We get a glimpse of the next version of Android at the Google I/O today. Titled Ice Cream Sandwich, it will be released during summer ( A nice time to enjoy such a cool desert). Google has not confirmed if thi will be Android 4.0 or Android 2.4.

Google plans to bring features like the live widgets, and 3D homescreen interface from Android 3.0 to smartphones.

Android 3.1 Honeycomb announced


Google announced an upcoming update to Android Honeycomb during the first day of Google I/O 2011. This update will be available today for the Motorola Xoom for Verizon customers and will find it's way to the other devices in the near future.

Movie Rentals on Android Market announced


During the first day session of I/O 2011 Google announced movie rentals through their Android Marketplace. Thousands of titles have been promised at prices staring at $1.99.

Google Music (beta) announced

Today, Google released a beta version of their upcoming cloud music service. The service is still not open to the public, but you can request an invitation from Google if you are in the U.S.

Google I/O 2011 - Day 01

HTC Incredible S - Hands On Video

The HTC Incredible S features a 4 inch touch display, microSD storage, an 8 megapixel camera which is capable of 720p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls, and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 768MB of RAM.

The Incredible S is part of a line-up of devices released at the MWC 2011.

Sony Ericsson announces Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro

Sony Ericsson announced the Xperia Pro and the Xperia Neo, today at the MWC 2011. Both devices run Google's Android mobile operating system and are powered by a 1GHz snapdragon processor. They feature an 8MP camera and the Bravia mobile technology. As well as best-in-class imaging and display technology from Sony, the Xperia pro combines an optimized slide-out keyboard with smart functions to create a fast messaging experience.

Microsoft reveals upcoming Windows Phone 7 updates at MWC

Microsoft kicked off MWC 2011 today by previewing some of the upcoming features due for Windows Phone 7 this year. It has been a year since Windows Phone 7 was first introduced during the 2010 MWC

BlackBerry OS 6.1 announced


BlackBerry's first DevCon Asia took place from the 13th to the 14th of January 2011 at Bali Indonesia. This event hosted the announcement of BlackBerry OS 6.1 which was presented during the keynote at the opening day.

Version 6.1 is said to build on Blackberry OS 6 and introduce some new features for developers to take advantage of. As you can also see from the image above some of these features are.

CES 2011 - Here's all you need to know

The Consumer Electronics Show 2011 is just around the corner, and with the show grows expectations from the mobile world looking for various rumors to become a reality. The event will take place from the 6th - 9th of January in Las Vegas.

This year's event is said to be evolutionary in nature bringing the best of technology and making it better and faster. Tablets it seams will play a big role in the event.
